What we like about the 144hz BenQ monitor frame is that you can tell that it is specifically made to reduce reflections, not to mention the anti-glare, matte coating.
Plus, the connector ports can cater HDMI, Dual-Link DVI, and DisplayPort 1.2. However, the 144Hz refresh rate is only supported over DVI and DisplayPort.
Resolution
While we don’t recommend the small screen and 1080p resolution of BenQ ZOWIE xl2411p for multi-tasking, it does deliver a sharp and satisfying picture quality for gaming.
This is because the BenQ xl2411p monitor has a standard TN panel that has a 350-nit peak brightness, a tethered 8-bit colour depth for 16.7 million colours, and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio.
Also, the full HD screen resolution of the 144hz BenQ monitor with 1920x1080p helps your Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) reach high frame rates easily without compromising the solid pixel density on this 24-inch BenQ Zowie gaming monitor.
But we noticed that just like other TN panels, the Xl2411p has narrow viewing angles which are about 160° vertically and 170° horizontally, and is a bit inferior compared to other panel technologies nowadays.
So, it’s safe to say that compared to other 144Hz TN panel models at the price range of BenQ ZOWIE xl2411p, you are not getting much improvement when it comes to image quality.

Refresh Rate
The BenQ xl2411p gaming monitor does have an excellent native refresh rate at 144Hz. However, it does not support some variable refresh rate technologies, such as AMD’s FreeSync.
Nevertheless, the 144Hz refresh rate of the BenQ xl2411p is one of the highest performing refresh rates amongst esports enthusiasts.
Remember that refresh rates refer to the monitor’s speed in refreshing the images it is displaying on the screen. The higher the refresh rate, the smoother your gameplay will be.
Response Time
Response time takes care of how fast your monitor display changes colours.
The BenQ ZOWIE xl2411p’s response time is excellent at 1ms or around one millisecond; you just can’t ignore it. The clear motion, with little to no blur trail behind fast-moving objects on the screen, brings great satisfaction.
Also, the overdrive level can be adjusted via the AMA setting when you adjust it. However, we highly recommend turning the setting ‘OFF’ because while setting it up on ‘HIGH’ results in a faster response time, it also brings in significant overshoot in your transitions.
Also, take note that your BenQ xl2411p’s response time is different from input lag, which will talk more about in the next section.

Thankfully, BenQ ZOWIE xl2411p has such an outstanding low input lag even at 60Hz refresh rate. To make sure that you’ll only experience the lowest input lag possible, we highly recommend enabling the ‘Instant Mode’ setting on the ‘Picture’ menu.
